The Retail Store Manager will oversee the store’s operations, sales, and visual standards to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of retail programs and overall store success.\nWhat you’ll do? IT’S Exciting!\nLaugh out loud, dance to the music, and provide a humorous escape to our customers while you,\nLead Store’s Daily Tasks:\nOversees the daily sales and back of house operation and ensures sales objectives are met.\nEvaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.\nHolds self and staff accountable to our Core Values and coaches to the behaviors associated with them.\nMakes staffing decisions including employment, training, task assignment, promotion, discipline and termination for assigned functions.\nFosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching, training and engagement of Sales Associates.\nFollow our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT, by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining and thanking the customer.\nMust be proficient in product knowledge.\nPromotes safety for both our customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.\nRecruit Great Talent:\nResponsible for proactively networking/recruiting qualified candidates to ensure proper backfill for all positions. Identify internal/external candidates with a proven ability to develop and maintain sincere, authentic relationships.\nInterview and select candidates based on IT’SUGAR’S core values.\nOnboard, train and coach Associates/Supervisors and ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to.\nAchieve Sales Goals:\n Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products.\n Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.\n Establish a Collaborative Selling Culture in the Store, ensuring Associates/Supervisors are trained in all IT’SUGAR selling training programs.\n Manage Store Operations\nOversees all operational standards, including the timely execution of pricing, signage, replenishment, plan-o-grams, shipping, receiving and maintenance of inventory accuracy and product flow.\nOversee the execution of store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures.\nMaintains allocated budget within the store.\nEnsures the store follows all visual guidelines and supports the brand image.\nOversees the planning and set-up for special events and promotions.\nMaintain communication with Supervisors regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.\nUnderstands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues with the store leadership team and escalates to HQ as needed.\nEmbody our Core Values:\nRepresent our core values: IT’S being Positive, Playful, Present and a Difference Maker.\nDisplay enthusiasm and optimism while fostering a team environment within the store.\nRequirements\nWhat you need to join the fun:\n High School diploma or equivalent.\n 3-5 years of retail experience.\n Prior sales and management experience in a retail environment required.\n Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.\n Must be able to use a POS/cash register.\n Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.\n Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
