Our leading brands includeITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls and kSARIA.\nPosition Summary\nThe Applications Engineer provides technical and commercial support to the direct sales force in the areas of pump applications, proposal development, and order management. This role is responsible for performing detailed pump selections, reviewing complex specifications, preparing high-quality proposals, providing technical guidance to customers, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring accurate and timely order processing.\nThis position may be located in Calgary, Alberta.\nEssential Responsibilities\nReview customer specifications and datasheets and prepare comprehensive, professional proposals.\nUtilize internal selection tools to determine optimal pump configurations, generate scope of supply, and process orders accurately.\nProvide technical guidance to Sales Engineers, customers, and internal stakeholders. \nRespond to customer inquiries and support issue resolution with a high level of professionalism and accuracy.\nObtain vendor quotations for auxiliary equipment and ensure alignment with project requirements.\nServe as a liaison between operations, engineering, and the customer to ensure seamless communication and project execution.\nParticipate in customer and internal meetings to clarify technical and commercial requirements.\nSupport Sales Engineers during customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions, as needed.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.\nPosition Requirements\nKnowledge & Skills:\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present technical information.\nHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation capabilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., API, ANSI, Hydraulic Institute).\nSelf-starter who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCustomer-focused mindset with professional responsiveness.\nExperience:\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in rotating equipment is required, with a strong preference for direct experience in centrifugal pumps, pump packaging, or industrial fluid-handling systems.\nExperience with engineered to order products, proposal development, and specification review is preferred. \nExperience supporting sales teams or working in an applications engineering capacity is preferred.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering.
