Our leading brands includeITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls and kSARIA.\nPosition Summary\nPosition: Engineering/Applications Intern (Summer 2027)\nMajor(s): Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Analytics, Junior or Senior year desired\nInternship Schedule: May to August 2027, full-time, 40 hours per week\nAbout the experience: Assist the IT-Engineering team with application support documentation, requirements gathering, testing, system inventory, and project coordination across engineering applications and related infrastructure. Work may include PLM/CAD support documentation, user access reviews, migration readiness, application validation, troubleshooting runbooks, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and IT teams. Interest in engineering systems, databases, application support, and process improvement is preferred.\nEssential Responsibilities\nSupport the IT engineering applications team with application documentation, requirements gathering, testing, system inventory, and project coordination.\nAssist with engineering application modernization, system upgrades, and site technology initiatives.\nReview engineering applications, support queues, project lists, and site contacts to understand the current systems environment.\nDocument current processes, application inventories, data flows, dependencies, and known support issues.\nCreate and update troubleshooting guides, support runbooks, process maps, and user-facing documentation.\nAssist with engineering systems projects involving testing, data validation, access reviews, and deployment-readiness activities.\nSupport PLM and CAD-related documentation, user access reviews, migration readiness, and application validation.\nContribute to database and cross-functional coordination activities involving engineering, quality, manufacturing, IT, vendors, and site teams.\nGather and document requirements from engineering and business users to identify application and process-improvement opportunities.\nSupport the validation of migrated or upgraded systems, including test scripts, issue logs, results tracking, and resolution follow-up.\nAnalyze recurring support issues and recommend process, documentation, or automation improvements.\nCoordinate meetings and testing activities across IT, engineering, external vendors, and site teams.\nCompile project findings, completed deliverables, open items, and prioritized recommendations for future action.\nPresent project outcomes and recommendations to IT and business stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship.\nTransition documentation, knowledge, and outstanding action items to the appropriate IT team members for follow-up.\nPerform other related engineering applications and IT support duties as assigned.\n\nPosition Requirements\n This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
