Our leading brands includeITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls and kSARIA.\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking a Pump Mechanic/Inspector to support our aftermarket repair and upgrade business in our Colfax PRO Services shop located in Colfax, NC. Building on centuries of pump design experience, PRO Services provides an array of services focuses on reducing equipment total cost of ownership and increasing plant output, including condition monitoring, predictive maintenance contracts, field service, engineered upgrades, inventory management, and overhauls for pumps and other rotating equipment.\nEssential Responsibilities\nMay include:\nProvide work scope and material based upon customer’s requirements and specifications. \nReports defects in materials, rework, missed inspections, job delays, and/or problem areas to applicable internal/external customers.\nEnsures accuracy and completeness of all relevant inspection sheets and drawings.\nReviews and inspects all running clearances of equipment needing to be assembled prior to final assembly of equipment.\nConducts final inspection of all machined parts (repaired or newly manufactured) to ensure work piece is complete and accurate.\nPerforms final inspection of assembled equipment, records the data and coordinating final documentation prior to products shipment to customer. \nSafely perform air and hydro-testing of equipment. \nAdhere to all ITT policies and procedures, including Time and Attendance, safety, and productivity. \nKeep safety at the forefront and work safely while helping colleagues. \nPartner with cross functional teams such as Engineering, as needed. \nProduce sketches and drawings for machining of the pump components that will be repaired.\nInspect components and assembled products to ensure accuracy and precision, recording inspection results to include fits, clearances, and runouts. \nEscalate job related issues or concerns by effectively communicating to peers and/or supervisors.\nUtilize cranes and/or other lifting devices to move heavy equipment.\nPerform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.\nPosition Requirements\nKnowledge & Skills:\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client group.\nAbility to troubleshoot in-depth issues with rotating equipment.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret pump drawings.\nAbility to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues.\nSelf-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team.\nAbility to effectively communicate ideas and properly describe problems and solutions.\nAbility to work overtime hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed by customer demands and/or business needs. \nCustomer service mindset to ensure on-time delivery and quality workmanship. \nAbility to effectively handle multiple tasks, time management, and prioritization skills.\nWell-developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills\nAbility to produce clear, timely, and concise documentation and have well-developed problem-solving skills.\nAbility to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.\nProficient in relevant PC skills.\nStrong drive to make things happen and a strong “can do” attitude.\nKnowledge of service environment activities including DCI, machining, assembly, test, and field service for rotating equipment.\nUnderstand different materials and their properties.\nAbility to work efficiently within the fixed time window for each manufacturing process.\nWillingness to work on teams and engage in on going Continuous Improvements within facility.\nExperience:\n10+ experience troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment.\nExperience in reading blueprints including GT&T\nExperience operating lifting devices, including cranes and forklifts\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent\nVocational/ Technical Degree preferred \nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and smell.
