Our leading brands includeITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls and kSARIA.\nPosition Summary\nEngineered Valves is searching for a Quality Engineer with a product line focus on elastomer and PTFE diaphragms to join their team in Lancaster, PA. The Quality Engineer supports operations through application of quality engineering skills and industry based product knowledge. This individual will play an active role in processes to ensure products and services meet quality standards consistent with company policies, while meeting all design control and other regulatory requirements. This role also supports plant activities in process validation, process capability issues and customer issues, initiates corrective and preventive action, with an eye to increased capability and customer satisfaction and supports Quality System implementation.\nEssential Responsibilities\nImplement and drive changes that strengthen ITT’s quality assurance program with focus on the diaphragm product line.\nContribute information for material review meetings with process improvement deliverables.\nReview or disposition of non-conformances and returned material evaluation process for site.\nPerforms detailed inspection and analysis of sample components regarding dimensional conformance to drawings and non-destructive testing. Issues production release and approval of sample components for production start-up.\nDevelops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of product.\nDevelops, implements and monitors process control methods, including Run Charts, Pareto Charts, SPC Charts or other tools as defined as necessary for Manufacturing Processes.\nFacilitates the disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Analyzes and trends facility scrap and creates corrective action plans to reduce.\nReviews and assists in the engineering design of new components, as well as redesign of existing components to ensure proper function and suitable producibility and inspection by outside vendors and in-house manufacturing departments.\nDevises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.\nProvides technical support & training to the inspectors as required which includes receiving inspection and in-process inspection activities, measuring and testing product using computerized coordinate axis machines, alloy analyzing and topography measurement devices, and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.\nTrains and certifies as a member of our internal auditor program.\nContribute to the evaluation and assessment of suppliers within the supplier assessment and approval process. As well as partnering to resolve quality issues.\nParticipates in customer driven and regulatory agency reviews of the Quality Management System.\nCompiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions as necessary.\nDemonstrated knowledge of customer and regulatory agency requirements as they pertain to manufacturing environments and quality management systems. (ie… ASME, ISO, CAS, etc.)\nPosition Requirements\nBachelor's degree plus 1-3 years in a competitive quality or manufacturing environment or equivalent education and experience.\nExperience working within a regulated industry in a Quality Assurance function a plus.\nTechnical knowledge in elastomer, PTFE, and molding manufacturing processes.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, GD&T, common scientific and technical journals.\nAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.\nAbility to effectively present information to peers and top management.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nRequires strong leadership, influencing and relationship building skills.\nAdvanced Excel experienceThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
