Our leading brands includeITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls and kSARIA.\nPosition Summary\nPosition Summary\nThe Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspection and testing activities to ensure materials and products meet engineering specifications and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing operations through inspection, data collection, and documentation of nonconformances while maintaining accurate quality records.\nEssential Responsibilities\nEssential Position Responsibilities\nPerform incoming inspection of materials, components, and sub-assemblies from external suppliers in accordance with BIW drawings, specifications, and quality control plans\nConduct in-process and final inspections of parts and assemblies produced by BIW Operations\nMaintain and update quality data within SAP ERP, QA test databases, and other applicable systems\nDocument product and process nonconformances using SAP Quality Notifications\nEnsure all inspection records and documentation are accurate, complete, and legible in accordance with established standards\nPosition Requirements\nPosition Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical diploma preferred\n1-2 years of hands-on experience in inspection and testing, or equivalent technical training\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T\nProficient in basic mathematics (arithmetic, geometry, and trigonometry)\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nEffective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word\nExperience auditing work orders, test data, and material certifications preferred\nU.S. Citizenship required\nInspection & Measurement Skills\nHands-on experience using precision inspection and measurement tools, including:\nCalipers\nMicrometers\nPin gauges\nBore gauges\nHeight gauges\nAbility to perform accurate dimensional inspections and verify product conformance to engineering drawings and specifications\nExperience recording, interpreting, and documenting measurement data as part of quality inspection processes\nAbility to interpret measurement results, including CMM data where applicable\nAbility to perform basic electrical testing using volt-ohm meters and high-potential (hipot) testing equipment\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nAbility to stand for extended periods throughout the workday\nFrequent bending, lifting, reaching, and squatting\nAbility to lift to 30 lbs. on a regular basis\nEqual Pay Act Statement\nWe aim to pay our ‘ITT’ers’ fairly and competitively in the locations that they live and work.
