We cover Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data\nGovernance and AI Innovation, and look to empower the organisation to make accurate and\ninformed data-driven decisions.\nThe Data Platform Team builds and maintains the infrastructure that underpins the\nproduction, discovery, and consumption of data. You will be joining a team that delivers the\ntools and capabilities to allow a range of users to work with data effectively, safely and\nefficiently.\nYou will be challenged in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, but you’ll be given the\nautonomy, mastery and purpose to succeed. We value smart work as much as hard work, so\nyou’ll be encouraged to automate wherever possible.\nWhat You’ll Do (main responsibilities)\nDeliver the technical implementation of our data platform, working closely with ourproduct owners, architects, and end users\n\nWork with our Data Engineers to help design, build and maintain Data Productsdelivering critical analytical data to people and systems\n\nHelp solve interesting and difficult technical challenges\nKeep it simple by obeying the Principle of Least Astonishment\nHelp maintain a common set of tools and standardsHelp empower our data teams (Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts) totake ownership of the operation, performance and availability of our data services\n\nEnsure that the Data Platform remains secure, well governed and well managed\nBuild out new capabilities for the platform with self-service in mind\nMonitor the platform so that we are aware of any issues before our stakeholders are\nWhat We’re Looking For (experience / skills you'll need)\nExperience working with cloud infrastructure & platforms (ideally GCP)\nKnowledge of infrastructure as code, containerisation, automation and monitoringtools\n\nExperience using version control tools (git)\nExperience designing, building and operating highly available, highly scalablesystems\n\nUnderstanding of data platforms and tooling in the data domain\nWorking knowledge of Unix based OS (Mac/Linux)\nKey Criteria\nExperience using a scripting programming language (e.g. python, ruby)\nBe passionate about working within an agile, multidisciplinary devops team.\nBe a team player who works well with their colleagues through sharing andcollaboration\n\nBe a clear communicator that is also happy to have their work critiqued\nAnalytical thinker who loves to solve complex design challenges\nPlease note, on occasion we may receive a very large volume of applications which means applications for a role may close earlier than the referenced closing date.
