As Production Coordinator in Programmes, you will provide organisational and administrative support to schedule resources and facilities to meet deadlines. You will be involved in shows from the concept phase all the way through to final delivery, and you will be expected to take a proactive approach to supporting the smooth running of the department. You will also assist the production process on the day of recording/transmission. This may include autocue, studio cameras, floor management, sound, programme timing or vision. The role will occasionally cover later shifts when we are recording our programmes after the 6 pm news.\nYou’ll be a team player who can learn quickly and can prioritise your workload. You must be willing and have the aptitude to develop new skills (with appropriate training) and to move between different duties on a daily basis as the needs of a busy and vibrant news operation require.\nWe want you to support the team making programmes, so we are looking for someone who can communicate with people at all levels and who can pay attention to detail. You’ll learn valuable skills as you develop your career with UTV.\nWe're also looking for a person who will help ensure our coverage represents the people and backgrounds of everyone in our community.\nSo, if you’re a confident communicator with proven organisational and administrative skills, plus a real desire to work for the UTV news and programmes operation, we want to hear from you.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCoordination of production and completion of administrative support for the UTV programmes department \nGallery operation and the ability to multi-skill, shifting seamlessly from one duty to another if necessary.\nBooking filming logistics, including camera operators and editors, plus tracking and monitoring so production follows a planned schedule\nArranging travel and accommodation\nPost programme paperwork, including for music cue sheets and 3rd party material;\nLiaising with producers to ensure delivery of promos, billings, synopses and subtitles by deadline;\nAssisting teams to achieve Albert Accreditation;\nProviding support to the team in the form of research, transcribing and sourcing props/filming locations.\nProcessing programme-related payments through Procurement, Expenses & Talent Payment systems;\nMedia Management\nDeal with sensitive content, liaising with third-party organisations and other parts of ITV\nSkills you’ll need (minimum criteria)\nTechnical proficiency with digital software, including Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and standard office technologies.\nProven experience in administrative coordination, workflow management, and prioritising operational tasks.\nDemonstrated track record of handling complex administrative queries, issue resolution, and applying sound judgement independently.\nOther things we’re looking for (key criteria)\nExceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask, delegate appropriately, and manage competing deadlines.\nA proactive self-starter who brings commitment, high energy, and a positive, motivated approach to their work.\nConfident, calm, and approachable under pressure, maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across multi-skilled teams.\nA collaborative team player who knows how to get the best out of people and adapt to new skills, tools, and ways of working.\nA genuine passion for working in broadcast, streaming and digital media.\nITV is for Everyone, and we want to ensure that UTV reflects our audience both on screen and in our teams.
