As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.\nWe are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Scarsdale, Pride Referrals on a part-time fixed term contract for 9 months.\nPride Veterinary Centre is a multi-disciplinary veterinary referral centre that is the central small animal hospital for the Scarsdale Veterinary group, as well as offering referral services for other veterinary practices across the midlands and beyond. The practice offers specialist services in Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Exotics and Dermatology. The hospital offers 24/7 veterinary care supported by our on-site ‘vets at night’ team and has a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment. We work closely with the University of Nottingham with students rotating through our referral services. Scarsdale Vets is part of the largest veterinary group in Europe, IVC Evidensia and is a key site within the groups UK activities.\nHow You’ll Make a Difference\nAs a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.\nYou’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.\nWorking Pattern\nThis is a part-time role working 16 hours per week. Flexible rota with shifts ranging between 7am- 11pm, every other weekend and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.\nKey Responsibilities\nYou will be taking referral calls from other practices, making appointments, assisting clients with queries on the phone as well as in person, reassuring clients, listening to their needs, taking payments, and solving problems. Attention to detail is essential, as is enjoyment of being in a busy customer care role.\nAs the appointments within the Referrals side of the practice aren’t the usual check-up or vaccination, the pets and their owners may have travelled some distance to be with us in order to obtain the best specialist care.
