The chemist must be familiar with and knowledgeable of cGMPs, cGLPs, SOPs, along with working in an FDA controlled environment. May assist with method development, with support for other departments for special projects as needed, training of new hires, and other laboratory duties assigned by Quality Management.\nResponsibilities\nSpecific Responsibilities\nPerforms chemical testing of incoming raw materials, finished product, and stability samples utilizing instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and ICP/ICPMS. \nFollow cGMPs, cGLPs, Compendia, and SOPs. \nPerform general lab duties as assigned, for example: replenish test reagents, clean lab, wash glassware. \nPerform routine maintenance checks/calibration verifications of equipment. \nSupport other departments for special projects as requested. \nGather, interpret, and review analytical data. \nClean assigned areas of the lab and maintain an audit ready status. \nAble to train others on specific instruments or techniques proficient in. \nAssist others with troubleshooting. \nConduct investigations of any out of specification results. \nAssists in completing SOP updates. \nGeneral Responsibilities\nPoses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation. \nRequires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work and must be flexible to assist with workloads without notice of planned/unplanned absences. \nPerforms such individual assignments as management may direct. \nModels and supports organizations goals and values. \nQualifications\nThe Candidate\nEducation, Experience, and Licenses:\n1-3 years’ experience in a cGMP environment, with a proven track record. \nBA or BS Degree in Chemistry or related science. \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nSkilled at analyzing data and summarizing results. \nStrong troubleshooting skills. \nAbility to follow written and verbal directions with a high level of accuracy. \nMust be able to write clear understandable documentation. \nStrong organizational skills to be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. \nExcellent interpersonal skills. \nAbility to provide directions to other Chemists. \nMust be able to demonstrate working knowledge of general wet chemistry procedures. \nMust have knowledge of how to work safely with and around chemicals and their potential hazards. \nMust be able to stand for extended periods of time. \nAble to lift up to 40 lbs. \nPersonal Protective Equipment required: lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves. \nRespirator required for the removal of waste from the laboratory. \nInternational Vitamin Corporation (IVC) Is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
