They will develop, design, and implement packaging specifications related to cost effective and efficient finished goods packaging that combines optimal market presentation, operational efficiency, and protection of product; investigates and troubleshoots production line issues related to packaging components; aids as a supplier liaison for all packaging component related issues; maintains all color standard and structural design for all customers related to printed packaging components.\nResponsibilities\nSpecific Responsibilities\nAssist in finished product packaging design and development that is mutually beneficial to the customer and packaging production.\nAssist as a technical liaison between customer, suppliers and packaging production for component questions and issues.\nCreate and develop new packaging components, packaging directions and standards; Generate and maintain all pallet configurations, color standards and designs; creation of new packaging part numbers and BOM set up.\nAssist in Management of NPC projects, PPC requirements, and support marketing/sales when needed.\nAssist in providing on-site support to Packaging Operations to resolve packaging component related problems and tooling requirements.\nGeneral Responsibilities\nPoses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation. \nRequires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. \nPerforms such individual assignments as management may direct. \nOther duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nThe Candidate\nEducation, Experience, and Licenses:\nLevel of Education\nBachelor’s Degree in Packaging Science/Engineering or rother Engineering related discipline\nLevel of Experience\nMinimum of 2-5 years of Packaging Engineering or related role\nKnowledge of packaging project management, experience with plastic bottles, closures, folding cartons, corrugated, and flexible films\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nFamiliarity with high-speed packaging equipment and laboratory packaging test equipment\nAbility to effective use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook\nAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference\nBroad understanding of packaging solutions for a diversified dosage form portfolio\nAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and /or schedule form. \nGood organizational skills.
