Candidates must be comfortable working core Eastern Time business hours.\nAbout the Role\niVerify is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be a key partner in strengthening and scaling our accounting operations as the company grows.\nThe Senior Accountant will take meaningful ownership of day-to-day accounting execution, including month-end close, reconciliations, billing, AP/AR, general ledger activities, and supporting schedules. A key focus of the role will be helping transition recurring accounting activities currently supported by external resources into the internal Finance team, while building scalable, accurate, and well-controlled processes.\nBy adding dedicated senior accounting capacity, this role will also enable the Accounting Manager to expand focus across financial reporting, revenue oversight, controls, process improvement, and broader accounting initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, customer billing, cash application, and general ledger activity.\n\nPrepare routine journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations.\n\nSupport the monthly close process by preparing schedules and resolving routine accounting items.\n\nMaintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online and related systems.\n\nMonitor AR aging, support customer collections, and ensure cash receipts are applied accurately.\n\nReconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.\n\nCoordinate with internal teams on vendor invoices, expense coding, and other routine accounting matters.\n\nHelp transition recurring accounting activities currently supported by external accounting resources into the internal Accounting team.\n\nMaintain accounting documentation and support improvements to recurring workflows.\n\nProvide accounting schedules and supporting documentation for tax, audit, and compliance needs as requested.\n\nQualifications\n3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful hands-on experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.\n\nStrong understanding of US GAAP.\n\nHands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, AP, AR, billing, and cash application.\n\nExperience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system.\n\nStrong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.\n\nFamiliarity with SaaS revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and subscription billing concepts.\n\nData-driven and analytical, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong ownership mentality and ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate.\n\nHighly organized and comfortable managing recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.\n\nProcess-oriented and comfortable documenting and improving workflows.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n\nCompensation\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and employment type.
