They allow us to collaborate: they define what we promise each other, how we work together, and what happens when things go wrong. \nIvo builds AI products that helps companies like Meta, Uber, IBM, Intel, DoorDash, Mitsubishi Electric, and Coinbase solve their most difficult contracting problems. We think that large language models have created an opportunity to fundamentally change how businesses collaborate with each other.\nAt Ivo you will work on challenging problems with colleagues who have high standards for each other, move fast, and care deeply about their craft.\nThe Opportunity\nWe’re looking for a Legal Engineer with a legal background to drive Ivo’s growth by engaging with law firms and in-house legal teams, becoming a trusted advisor on how Ivo’s solutions can enhance their effectiveness, demonstrating the value of our product, and guiding them in its successful implementation.\nWhat You'll Do\nThe role will be varied with opportunities to specialize into certain areas as the company grows but key responsibilities may include:\nBeing a champion of the product and advocating for Ivo at sales calls, customer onboarding calls, demos, webinars, events and conferences.\n\nLead product demonstrations tailored to the context of various in-house legal teams, asking questions to validate how Ivo can add value and then showcasing Ivo’s features and benefits relevant to each prospective client’s potential use cases.\n\nActing as a close and trusted advisor to our customers to help them integrate Ivo into their workflows and adopt best-in-class practices for scaling AI in their day-to-day work.\n\nImplement (and oversee the implementation of) “Playbooks” for our prospects derived from their precedents, templates, and historical agreements.\n\nWork closely with our engineers to improve the outputs of our models and with our designers to improve our UX / UI.\n\nAct as the “Voice of the Customer,” using your legal perspective to help the broader sales team to develop and implement more effective strategies and synthesize customer feedback for the product team through a legal lens.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n3+ years of legal experience, either at a law firm or in-house legal team.\n\nSales or customer-facing experience, including legal business development and/or secondment, is a plus, as is experience directly managing law firm client matters and client relationships.\n\nOutstanding presentation skills to both legal and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.\n\nHave a \"do what it takes\" attitude. You're willing to dive into problems and solve them yourself - you won't have anyone to delegate to.\n\nIvo might be a good fit for you if you:\nWould describe yourself as being relentlessly resourceful.\n\nYou have a strong internal sense of urgency. You have a bias towards doing things today, rather than tomorrow.\n\nExperience working in a startup environment is preferred but not required.\n\nAre excited about the adventure of building a company!\n\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive Compensation: Final offer details are determined based on experience, expertise, and overall fit.\n\nEquity: Meaningful ownership in a company that's scaling fast\n\nHealth & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans to suit the needs of you and your family.\n\nFlexible Spending & Insurance: Access to HSA and FSA accounts, plus life insurance coverage.\n\n401(k) Program: Save for the future with our 401(k) program.\n\nCommuter Benefits: We help make getting to and from the office easier and more convenient.\n\nUnlimited PTO: So you can take the time you need to recharge, stay healthy, and bring your best self to work.\n\nFAQ\nWhat stage of growth is Ivo at?: We recently raised our Series B after growing 6x in 12 months.\n\nIs this a chill gig?: Startups are very hard, especially if they’re growing fast. You’ll have a ton of responsibility, and there’s always an enormous amount of stuff to do. It’s hard work but the payoff is uncapped.\n\nIvo is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4198,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Insurance coverage","Life insurance","Unlimited PTO"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Legal AI","Legal Software"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-15T08:28:12Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":7,"expected_fill_days":89,"reasons":["conf:2","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-22T06:10:10Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":320000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/ivo-legal-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/ivo-legal-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-22T13:48:44Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":13149,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-23T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":6127},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=6127"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fivo-legal-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fivo-legal-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fivo-legal-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/ivo-legal-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fivo-legal-engineer"}]}
