Specifically looking for individuals who could teach:DBMS 110 - Intro to Data Analytics - Monday/Wednesday 6pm-8pm - March start\nAIIT 110 - AI Essentials - Tuesday/Thursday 10am-12pm - January start\nAdjuncts can teach between 1-13 contact hours per week and make $46.75 per contact hour. Interviews will happen on a rolling basis until filled.\nIn addition to submitting resume, applicants should also include copies of unofficial transcripts and/or current related certifications as *Other documents when applying. If not included applicants will be asked to provide that before being selected for interview.\nAdjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nFacilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.\nMakes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.\nDevelops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.\nMaintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.\nEngages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).\nInteracts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations.\nEnsures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.\nAll responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.\nConducts all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views.\nThis is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications: To teach Data Analytics applicants must possess an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:\nProfessional certification (national, regional, or state) in the field\nTwo years of in-field professional employment\nDocumented evidence of information technology teaching excellence, including date of award\nDocumentation of research and publication in the field\nDocumented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.\n\nIvy Tech is committed to supporting the well-being, growth, and financial security of our part-time employees.
