The intern will gain hands-on experience in web development while contributing to a meaningful community-driven organization.MUST BE A CURRENT IVY TECH ANDERSON STUDENT WITH AN FAFSA ON FILE.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n· Collaborate with the development and design team to build and\nenhance website functionality.\n· Assist in designing responsive and user-friendly web pages.\n· Implement front-end and back-end development solutions using\nHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.\n· Update and maintain website content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.\n· Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve website\nfunctionality and user experience.\n· Support SEO optimization efforts to improve search rankings.\n· Researched industry trends and recommended innovative design\nand development solutions.\n· Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.\n· Design and develop UI/UX elements that enhance the user experience.\n· Work with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) to update\nwebsite content.\n· Debug and troubleshoot website issues, ensuring seamless performance.\n· Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align website\nupdates with business goals.\n· Assist in integrang third-party tools, plugins, and APIs.\n· Document development processes and contribute to internal\nknowledge bases.\n Must be authorized to work in the United States\nGeneral Qualifications:\n· Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need; and\n· Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status;\nand\n· Maintain a minimum of 1 credit hour of enrollment in eligible\ncourses; OR\n· Be enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit hour in the upcoming term\nPreferred Qualifications:\n· Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Web\nDesign, Graphic Design, or a related field.\n· Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design\nprinciples.\n· Familiarity with UI/UX principles and website design best practices.\n· Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress is a plus.\n· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\n· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\n· Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn.\nApproximate Start Date: ASAP\nLast Date of Employment: TBD\nPay Rate: $15.00/hour\nEvaluations are performed at the end of each award year.
