All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.\nSUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director of Information Security\nSUPERVISION GIVEN: None\nHIRING RANGE: $60,000-65,000\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.\nMust have one or more years’ professional work experience in IT.\nFormal training or education in information technology a plus.\nExperience securing network systems, desktops, servers, and virtual environments required.\nBasic understanding of security best practices and standards of compliance required.\nMust have basic understanding of enterprise networking, operating systems, IDS/IPS, malware, DLP, scanning/security testing tools, firewalls, databases, and web filtering.\nExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required and must be able to operative effectively in a team environment. \nMust have strong analytical and problem solving abilities.\nFamiliarity with programming and script writing required.\nMust have the aptitude and motivation to understand the current threat landscape.\nMust demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.\nSecurity certifications from Cisco, CompTIA, (ISC) 2 or SANS preferred.\nDocumented history of excellent customer support experience preferred.\nIvy Tech is committed to supporting the well-being, growth, and financial security of our full-time faculty and staff.
