This includes administration, governance, management, operational support, and security of Microsoft, and other cloud platforms, and remaining on-premises hybrid solutions at the college.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nArchitect and lead the planning, testing, configuration, deployment, maintenance, security, support, and administration of Microsoft cloud services, on-premises operating systems, and third-party applications that are integrated with or supporting assigned enterprise platforms.\nLead, implement, and support M365 SaaS applications and solutions, including Exchange Online, Purview, SharePoint, Security & Compliance, and Teams.\nOwnership of identity management and governance including the design of enterprise identity provisioning and lifecycle process integrations.\nAdministration and support of Microsoft Entra ID and related features such as user management, dynamic groups, admin role management, licensing, app registrations and secrets, and Azure Enterprise Apps for SAML SSO.\nOversee Microsoft Power Platform administration and governance.\nIdentify opportunities and enhance automations and workflows via Graph, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and PowerShell.\nSubject matter expert for the M365 suite of products and tier 3 escalation support for related incidents.\nParticipate in professional activities related to improving job skills and knowledge.\nDevelop and participate in disaster recovery exercises as required.\nDesign solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.\nMonitor services and systems to achieve optimum performance and cost utilization levels.\nMaintain high standards of quality by developing effective operational procedures and documentation.\nWork effectively and diplomatically with peers and users, share expertise with peers, and encourage a team-oriented environment. Present technical sessions to users and serve on project teams as requested by the supervisor.\nWork with third-party vendors to integrate and support systems installed locally or hosted.\nResearch and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage the College’s resources and provide economies of scale.\nMust be willing to travel as necessary.\nThe above list of duties is not an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.\nSUPERVISION RECEIVED: Executive Director of Infrastructure Services\nSUPERVISION GIVEN: None\nSALARY RANGE: $110,000 to $125,000 Annualized\nEDUCATION: Associate degree in a computer-related field with additional documented computer coursework or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.\nEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:\nREQUIRED\nSeven or more years of work experience managing Azure, Microsoft 365, and other cloud platforms.\nFive or more years of experience as a Windows systems administrator or engineer.\nFive or more years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.\nFive or more years of experience with Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online.\nAdvanced experience with SSO, Group Policy, and Microsoft Teams.\nExperience with Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint technologies.\nAdvanced experience using scripting languages to automate system administration processes, specifically PowerShell.\nExperience acting as technical lead for large-scale enterprise projects/implementations.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and meet and track deadlines continuously under minimal supervision.\nMust be able to troubleshoot issues up through the layers of the OSI model.\nMust have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated use of initiative and organizational abilities.\nKnowledge of system monitoring, instrumentation, alerting, and troubleshooting.\nStrong analytical abilities.\nDESIRED:\nAdvanced experience with cloud integrations such as AWS and GCP.\nExperience managing enterprise-class backup solutions.\nIn-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, specifically VMware.\nIvy Tech is committed to supporting the well-being, growth, and financial security of our full-time faculty and staff.
