The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists Ivy Tech clients with reaching their training goals. The adjunct will be responsible for effective communication, instruction, and skills assessment(s) within the framework of the client’s needs.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nDeliver non-credit classes as assigned\nTeach and train classes as assigned in workplace and campus locations within programming designed to meet specific company learning objectives.\nTeaching and training will utilize contemporary adult learning techniques as are demonstrated in the corporate training arena.\nWork a flexible schedule as dictated by the client company training demand.\nMaintain records on student attendance, grades, and other information.\nDevelop materials as necessary for the effective delivery of curriculum.\nInitiate and follow through on evaluation processes that determine the viability of each and every training program delivered.\nAssist in the identification of facility and equipment needs in the classroom.\nParticipate in training and professional development as needed.\nConduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.\nPromote same as an integral part of one's work.\nThe above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nWorkforce Alignment Adjuncts need to have knowledge in some if not all of the following areas: Welding, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, Print Reading, PLCs, Rigging, CNC, and MSSC CPT, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Sterile Tech, Pharmacy Technician.\nMust have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction. Expertise in topic assigned to be able to convey information effectively. Ability to create a learning environment to maintain student success.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma\n3+ years of relevant industry experience\nCertification in the proposed teaching area (preferred not mandatory)\nHours vary, must be flexible depending on client needs\nIvy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmativeaction employer.
