You'll help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while coordinating contractors, operatives and site activities.\nThe role requires strong site supervision experience, good knowledge of construction health and safety, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy operational environment.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Construction Supervisor, you'll oversee day-to-day construction activities, monitor progress and ensure works are carried out in line with specifications, agreed programmes and health and safety requirements.\nYou'll work closely with contractors, project managers, technical teams and other stakeholders to identify issues, resolve problems and maintain high standards of delivery.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nSupervising construction and maintenance works across assigned sites\nMonitoring contractor and operative performance to ensure works meet required standards\nEnsuring compliance with health and safety procedures and safe systems of work\nCarrying out site inspections and monitoring quality, progress and workmanship\nCoordinating day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are properly sequenced\nIdentifying defects, delays or risks and escalating issues where required\nChecking works against drawings, specifications and agreed requirements\nLiaising with contractors, project managers, technical officers and suppliers\nMonitoring progress against programme deadlines\nSupporting the resolution of technical and operational problems\nEnsuring site records, inspection notes and progress information are maintained accurately\nSupporting toolbox talks, site briefings and safety meetings\nMonitoring materials, equipment and resources where required\nEnsuring sites are maintained in a safe and orderly condition\nSupporting the management of access, logistics and site coordination\nHelping ensure completed works are ready for inspection and handover\nPromoting high standards of quality, safety and professionalism across all site activities\nRequirements\nWe're looking for a practical and experienced construction professional with strong supervisory and site-management skills.\nYou'll ideally have:\nPrevious experience supervising construction, maintenance or refurbishment works\nStrong knowledge of construction site health and safety\nExperience managing contractors, subcontractors or site operatives\nAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions\nExperience carrying out site inspections and quality checks\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills\nGood organisational and time-management skills\nAbility to manage multiple site priorities and meet deadlines\nStrong communication and stakeholder-management skills\nGood understanding of safe working practices and risk management\nAbility to maintain accurate site and progress records\nExperience working within local authority, public-sector or infrastructure environments would be advantageous\nRelevant construction or supervisory qualification would be desirable\nEligibility to work in the UK\nAbility to provide relevant
