We are seeking engineers with experience in site reliability and operations, who have a passion for simplifying the complex and building highly scalable infrastructure. #LI-EM1\nThis position requires you to be in our San Mateo, CA, headquarters office. \nWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING\nWork with your team to master a variety of production technology stacks\nTake responsibility for site performance, uptime and scalability \nDevelop and maintain accurate monitoring dashboards, alerting and runbook documentation suited to each product\nIdentify technical problems and develop solutions\nPartner with application engineering teams to understand product needs, support test environments, and manage CI/CD pipelines\nBuild and propose architecture changes that will allow us to consolidate, simplify, and streamline our technology, company-wide\nDevelop tooling for deployment and release processes\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\nBachelor's or advanced degree in computer science/engineering or a related discipline\n7+ years of professional hands-on software engineering or devops experience\nPublic cloud provider experience (GCP is a plus)\nExperience with common service technologies like web servers, message queues, load balancers, and databases\nExperience with containerized cloud solutions utilizing Docker and Kubernetes\nFluency in devops concerns such as source control, builds, deployments, networking, scaling, and monitoring\nFlexibility to work with a variety of technologies and legacy systems, balanced against a passion to streamline and modernize\nExperience with at least one programming language like Java, C++, C, Go, Python, Bash, Perl\nSkill at troubleshooting problems across the stack, providing both immediate fixes as well as long term solutions\nStrong communication and time management skills\nPassion for improving education through technology\nThe base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 to $200,000 + equity + benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.
