ship systems and equipment.\n\nDevelop engineering deliverables for assigned projects under the supervision of a licensed P.Eng.\nSupport the design and planning of processes, tools, equipment, and systems required for ship construction, repair, and modernization.\nReview technical documents, drawings, and engineering products developed by internal teams and external stakeholders, providing comments and recommendations.\nAssist in technical investigations, data analysis, and problem-solving activities.\nHelp identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within engineering processes and practices.\nContribute to risk identification and mitigation activities within project and engineering teams.\nPrepare technical reports, presentations, and supporting documentation.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production, and project functions.\n Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. \nEligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer with Engineers Nova Scotia.\nUnderstanding of engineering principles, standards, and industry best practices. \nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. \nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nDue to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).\nPlease note this position requires a
