Working closely with the Team Lead, this role supports quality initiatives, departmental objectives, audits, process improvement activities, corrective actions, and performance monitoring while collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote compliance, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement throughout Irving Shipbuilding.\n Lead and support internal audits in the business to ensure compliance to ISO 9001.\nLead and support training of audit lites in the business.\nSupport external audits- acting as an audit guide, compiling objective evidence, and being the point of contact.\nOversee nonconformities, corrective actions, recommendation for improvements, and observations through the appropriate stages ensuring stakeholders have the support required for timely actions and closure. \nReview quality data, identify trends, patterns, anomalies and make recommendations regarding indicators related to changes in quality levels throughout the business.\nAct as a Quality guide- supporting business functions with non-conformance reports, developing process documentation, how to effectively use quality management systems.\n Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or related field.P.Eng designation or ability to obtain.\n\nDemonstrated ability to apply quality management knowledge in heavy manufacturing environment, typically gained over 2 to 5 years of experience.\nKnowledge of quality management systems and best practices.\nComprehensive knowledge of quality auditing.\nDemonstrated experience to apply practical knowledge of quality audits, make recommendations for improvement.\nDemonstrated experience writing quality reports.\nExcellent communication skills. \nDue to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).\nPlease note this position requires a full-time, in-office
