The River Class Training Centre is more than a new facility; it is the foundation of a training enterprise being established to generate and sustain workforce readiness throughout the lifecycle of the River Class program.\nWorking closely with leaders, instructors, support staff, and stakeholders across the organization, the Business Analyst translates strategic objectives, operational requirements, customer expectations, and Irving Management System principles into practical business processes, governance frameworks, management systems, performance measures, and supporting business-system requirements. By connecting people, processes, systems, governance, and performance, the role helps create an integrated operating model that enables the Training Centre to plan, govern, execute, measure, and continuously improve its operations.\nDuring the activation phase of the Training Centre, the Business Analyst supports the development and implementation of processes, controls, and management systems required to establish and sustain operations. As the Training Centre evolves, the role identifies opportunities to improve performance, strengthen governance, and enhance the effectiveness of training and business operations, ensuring the organization can learn, adapt, and continuously improve over time.\nThis is a unique opportunity to help shape a long-term capability from the ground up. As a member of the Training Team, you will play an important role in transforming requirements and operational needs into the processes, systems, and ways of working that support one of Canada's most significant naval programs.\nIf you are a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges and helping build high-performing operational systems, join us and shape the system that will prepare people for Canada’s next generation of naval capability.\n Design, implement, and continuously improve the River Class Training Centre Management System and operating model.\n\nAnalyze business needs and translate strategic, operational, customer, and compliance requirements into effective business processes and solutions.\n\nLead process mapping, requirements gathering, and future-state process design initiatives across Training Centre operations.\n\nDevelop and maintain business processes, work instructions, procedures, templates, forms, and supporting documentation.\n\nEstablish governance frameworks, controls, and management practices that support operational effectiveness and accountability.\n\nDevelop and maintain quality management processes, including document control, records management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.\n\nFacilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, workshops, process reviews, and readiness assessments.\n\nSupport the implementation and adoption of new processes, systems, and management practices through change management and communication activities.\n\nDevelop performance measures, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks to support informed decision-making.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment across Training Centre functions.\n\nDefine business-system and information-management requirements that support operational planning, performance monitoring, and recordkeeping.\n\nCollaborate with functional teams to ensure customer, regulatory, safety, security, and corporate requirements are integrated into business processes.\n\nMonitor process effectiveness and recommend improvements to support operational readiness and organizational excellence.\n\nSupport management reviews, governance meetings, and strategic planning activities through analysis, reporting, and recommendations.\n\n Education\nUniversity degree in Business Administration, Business Analysis, Organizational Development, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.\n\nAn equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.\n\nExperience\n3-5+ years of experience in business analysis, business process management, operational readiness, continuous improvement, quality management systems, organizational effectiveness, or a related field.\n\nExperience gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing business processes, and developing process improvements.\n\nExperience creating and maintaining business process documentation, procedures, work instructions, and supporting materials.\n\nExperience facilitating meetings, workshops, or stakeholder engagement activities.\n\nExperience developing performance metrics, dashboards, reports, or other tools to support business decision-making.\n\nExperience supporting process, system, or organizational change initiatives.\n\nExperience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments is considered an asset.\n\nWe're committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion\nFleetway is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
