This will require Interfacing with the enterprise and Canada to manage change that impacts the execution of work on each ship. \nEnsure customer expectations are understood and aligned with contractual requirements.\nCommunicate with customers and internal/external stakeholders as required. \nPlay a key role in managing performance of the Ship Repair Program including work execution. Lead and support regular stakeholder reviews, that can include scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and safety. \nContribute and lead improvement initiatives to help ensure continuous improvement is embedded with ship repair to ensure docking work periods meet the operational needs of Canada (including the RCN). \nReport to the Program Manager and provide leadership to the Program team fostering a positive and productive working environment. \nSupport the Program governance structure including reporting requirements, budget management and risk management.\n Post-secondary degree, in business administration, engineering or related discipline.MBA, MASc, or equivalent considered an asset.\nFormal Project Management Qualification preferred.\n\n5 to 8 years of experience in a project management position in shipbuilding and defense preferred.\nKnowledge in naval design or project build sectors, large scope national contracts or heavy industrial sectors an asset.\nDemonstrated ability to apply core Project Management processes: scheduling, lean methodologies, budgeting and cost forecasting, performance tracking, risk management.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nProactive, energetic, and results-focused.\nProven leadership and effective teamwork abilities.\nDue to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).\nPlease
