Held is seeking a highly experienced and technically accomplished Senior Forensic Engineer to serve as a senior-level contributor within our Forensic Architecture & Engineering practice. This role is ideal for a licensed professional engineer with deep expertise in large loss forensic investigations, litigation support, and technical reporting.\nYou will lead complex investigations, provide expert analysis and testimony, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients. This role offers significant visibility and influence across the practice, with opportunities to mentor or manage staff, contribute to thought leadership, and support business development initiatives with a goal of increases large loss and complex work throughout J.S Held’s FA&E practice. The individual is expected to bring over existing client relationships to support revenue generation and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.\nJob Responsibilities\nClient Engagement & Business Development\nServe as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term relationship development.\nIdentify and pursue new business opportunities within insurance, legal, and construction sectors.\nRepresent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.\nCollaborate with senior leadership to define and implement growth strategies.\nStrategic Leadership & Team Development\nHelp to mentor and grow a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.\nProvide strategic direction and oversight on client engagements, ensuring quality and consistency.\nSupport professional development and knowledge sharing across the team.\nTechnical Oversight & Project Delivery\nOversee and conduct forensic investigations into a variety of structural failures, construction defects, and material performance issues.\nPrepare and review expert reports, technical analyses, and litigation support documents.\nTestify as an expert witness in legal proceedings when required.\nEnsure consistency in inspection methodology, client communication, and deliverable quality.\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering field\nActive P.Eng license. \nAdvanced engineering experience, including forensic consulting.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including expert report writing and courtroom testimony.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with insurance carriers, law firms, or construction litigation.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple complex assignments.\nPhysical and Mental Job Qualifications\nMust be able to travel to various project sites and conduct field investigations.\nMust be able to work in hot and cold environments.\nMust be able to carry and operate equipment relevant to role\nPhysically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time\n Some of the Benefits We Have Include\nJ.S.
