We welcome your application to receive consideration for the following position.\nJob Overview: Available Immediately\nIntroduction\nThe Customer applies technical resources to accelerate the timely, reliable, and secure delivery of open source data, information, and insights. The Customer requires application development support to maintain and enhance an existing social media data exploitation platform. The Candidate will work within an existing team environment. Work will include developing enhancements to an existing service-based web application.\nThis position will:\nDesign, implement, and optimize backend services in NodeJs and Typescript\nDevelop and maintain ETL workflows to handle large-scale datasets\nEnsure performance, scalability, and reliability under high demand conditions\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment\nCoordinate with multiple entities, including mission partners, to ensure tools meet defined requirements. \nApply DevOps principles and philosophies to continuously deliver high value enhancements to software in a service-based architecture. \nEnsure all application security vulnerabilities are addressed as appropriate by severity to maintain security accreditation. \nSupport data engineering efforts to analyze large data sets to derive data relationships. \nMaintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot various codebases deployed in a multi-cloud environment. \nMaintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, hardware and networks. \nManage and mitigate IT security vulnerabilities and apply security controls.\nRequired skills and demonstrated experience:\nDemonstrated experience with the design, implementation, and optimization of backend services in NodeJs and Typescript.\nDemonstrated experience with strings in development and large-scale data processing\nDemonstrated experience building and optimizing ETL pipelines.\nDemonstrated experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows to handle large-scale datasets.\nDemonstrated experience working in a fast paced, fluid, and dynamic environment, working with cross functional teams. \nDemonstrated experience ensuring system performance, scalability, and reliability under high demand conditions. \nHighly desired, though not required, include:\nDemonstrated experience with Apache NiFi\nDemonstrated experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting.\nDemonstrated experience installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.\nDemonstrated experience maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and managing software, hardware, and networks.\nDemonstrated experience working within cloud computing environments (AWS), Linux, and Unix-based operating systems.\nDemonstrated experience in platform and application automated deployment.\nDemonstrated experience using AWS to include S3, EBS, and EC2.\nDemonstrated experience using requirements tracking programs such as JIRA or Confluence.\nDemonstrated experience implementing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines to support a multi-tenant environment.\nDemonstrated experience in cloud deployment, DevOps, containerization, web service and API management, and computing optimization.\nDemonstrated experience in cloud database, storage, virtualization, and network configurations.\n__________________________________________________________________________________\nUS Citizenship:\nThis position requires US Citizenship.
