Our commitment extends beyond business success as we strive to build sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and foster vibrant and diverse communities around the globe.Electrical Engineer II\nDepartment: Engineering\nLevel: Individual Contributor - Level II\nReports To: Site Engineering Manager\nLocation: Grantsville, Utah\nEmployment Type: Full-Time\nHow will you make an impact?\nThe Electrical Engineer II turns complex electrical designs into reliable, scalable manufacturing solutions for hyperscale data-center and energy customers.\nThis hands-on role supports NPI, qualification, production ramp, and sustaining operations while improving test performance, resolving production issues, and meeting quality, cost, delivery, reliability, and customer requirements.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong electrical-engineering fundamentals, disciplined problem solving, sound judgment, and clear communication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nWhat will you do?\nSupport prototype, pilot, qualification, ramp, and sustaining production activities. \nReview schematics, PCBAs, wiring, cables, specifications, and drawings for manufacturability, testability, reliability, and scale. \nPartner with Test Engineering to define, validate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing test solutions. \nDiagnose electrical failures at component, PCB, subassembly, system, and rack levels. \nLead investigations of defects, test failures, and intermittent issues; verify corrective actions with cross-functional teams. \nAnalyze production and test data to improve quality, yield, throughput, coverage, cost, and cycle time. \nSupport DFM/DFA/DFT reviews, PFMEA, control plans, capability studies, risk assessments, and readiness reviews. \nCoordinate ECOs, deviations, component qualifications, configuration changes, and product revisions. \n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, a related technical field; or a combination of education, training, and relevant experience. \nExperience:\nTwo to five years of relevant experience in electrical, manufacturing, or hardware engineering. \nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:\nStrong knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits and systems. \nAbility to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications. \nHands-on experience troubleshooting electrical hardware with laboratory and diagnostic equipment. \nExperience collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting NPI, high-volume electronics, or electromechanical contract manufacturing. \nKnowledge of server or rack-level power distribution, AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion, grounding, and protection. \nExperience with PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, backplanes, power-distribution boards, or system-level integration. \nFamiliarity with high-speed digital systems, signal integrity, or communication interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I²C, SPI, UART, or USB. \nExperience developing or troubleshooting manufacturing test equipment and automated test systems. \nFamiliarity with engineering or test-automation tools such as LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, C/C++, Altium, Cadence, or OrCAD. \nKnowledge of DFM, DFA, DFT, and applicable IPC, UL, IEC, or IEEE standards. \nWhat Can Jabil Offer You?\nAlong with growth, stability, and the opportunity to be challenged, Jabil offers a competitive benefits package that includes:\nMedical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and Vision Insurance with HRA and HSA options\n401K Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan\nPaid Time Off\nTuition Reimbursement\nLife, AD&D, and Disability Insurance\nCommuter Benefits\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPet Insurance\nAdoption Assistance\nAnnual Merit Increases\nCommunity Volunteer Opportunities\nBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
