Products manufactured at this site will be shipping-container-sized systems weighing more than 50 tons and incorporating Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), power distribution, controls, and complex electrical assemblies.\nAs a founding member of the factory startup team, you will play a critical role in transforming an empty facility into a world-class manufacturing operation. The Site Engineering Manager will lead the development of manufacturing systems, production processes, facility layout, equipment deployment, workforce readiness, and operational excellence from the ground up.\nThis role requires a hands-on engineering leader with experience supporting factory startups, industrialization of new products, and large-scale electromechanical manufacturing environments.\nHow You Will Make an Impact\nThe Site Engineering Manager will lead Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and Industrial Engineering (IE) functions during the launch and ramp-up of a new manufacturing facility. This leader will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable production systems that deliver world-class performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.\nWorking cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Facilities, and Customer teams, you will establish the manufacturing foundation required to successfully build complex electrical infrastructure products for hyperscale data center and power customers.\nSuccess in this role requires a combination of startup leadership, manufacturing engineering expertise, operational excellence, and the ability to build high-performing teams in a fast-paced growth environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nFactory Startup & Industrialization\nLead engineering activities associated with the startup, commissioning, and ramp-up of the Prince George manufacturing facility.\nDevelop manufacturing strategies, equipment plans, facility layouts, and production workflows for large-form-factor product assembly.\nDesign and implement material storage, material handling, kitting, point-of-use inventory, and production flow systems.\nEstablish manufacturing standards, work instructions, process documentation, PFMEAs, control plans, and training programs.\nSupport facility fit-out activities, production equipment installation, acceptance testing, and production readiness reviews.\nDrive manufacturing readiness for new product introduction (NPI) and customer program launches.\nManufacturing Engineering Leadership\nBuild, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering organization.\nDefine engineering staffing plans required to support startup, ramp, and long-term operational growth.\nEstablish engineering performance metrics and accountability systems.\nPartner with Operations leadership to deliver production, quality, safety, and cost objectives.\nProcess Development & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop scalable assembly processes for: Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems High-power electrical assemblies Panel assembly and integration Point-to-point wiring and harnessing Final equipment integration and test\nDrive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives focused on productivity, quality, throughput, and cost reduction.\nImplement manufacturing best practices, automation opportunities, and process control strategies.\nFacility Design & Manufacturing Systems\nLead facility layout design, line balancing, workstation development, and manufacturing capacity planning.\nDevelop simulation models, staffing plans, throughput analyses, and future-state manufacturing strategies.\nSupport expansion planning and deployment of additional manufacturing capabilities as business grows.\nEnsure manufacturing infrastructure supports current and future customer requirements.\nCustomer & Business Support\nSupport customer engagement activities including factory readiness reviews, manufacturing audits, process demonstrations, and new business pursuits.\nCollaborate with commercial and business development teams to support manufacturing quotations, capacity planning, and operational assessments.\nServe as the engineering focal point for manufacturing strategy discussions with key customers.\nQualifications and Education\nBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.\nExperience\n10+ years of manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or operations engineering experience.\n5+ years leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting greenfield factory startups, major facility expansions, or new production launches.\nExperience manufacturing large electromechanical, electrical infrastructure, power distribution, switchgear, data center, industrial equipment, or similar products.\nExperience with Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), power systems, electrical integration, or complex assembly operations strongly preferred.\nPreferred Experience\nData Center is $115,500 - $207,900.
