Receives little work instruction on daily work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.\nTroubleshoot to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.\nDismantle, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manual, rough sketches or drawings/schematics.\nUses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.\nRebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance. Document maintenance as per program designation.\nCalibrate equipment using general and special purpose test equipment.\nCommunicates with equipment suppliers regarding the repair of equipment.\nMaintain sufficient data to develop process improvement initiatives.\nMay assist in the development of work procedures.\nMay be required to source and purchase equipment parts.\nMay maintain and store backup information for all critical production equipment software systems.\nMay make recommendations regarding new or replacement equipment.\nMay train employees in operation of machinery.\nMay be required to work overtime or be on-call.\nComply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.\nMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS\nKnowledge of company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.\nMust be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must be able to effectively communicate with technical support services.\nBroad knowledge and troubleshooting capability with various electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment typically gained through extensive experience.\nUse of basic and special purpose hand tools, leveling instruments, and test/calibration equipment.\nMust be able to troubleshoot all failures that are detectable at the IO level.\nBasic mathematics.\nMay require forklift certification.\nUnderstanding of electronic color codes and other component value markings.\nUnderstanding of safety practices requirements.\nSolid knowledge of specialized maintenance tracking programs.\nPersonal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word and PowerPoint and e-mail).\nUse of specialized maintenance tracking programs.\n EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nAssociates degree in electrical or mechatronics preferred, or equivalent certifications\nThree (3) to five (5) years prior work experience in PMs, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment required.\nExperience maintaining and repairing CNC machines, lathes, mils and chuckers preferred. Experience with Swiss type lathes a plus.\nOr an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.\nThe hourly pay range for this role is $21.73 - $39.13.
