Applicants requiring sponsorship will not be considered.\nHow will you make an impact?\nAs a Failure Analysis Engineer with Jabil you will be responsible for investigating and reducing device test failures through prompt, aggressive root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.\nWhat will you do?\nSupport improvement of component quality by performing documented failure analysis and obtaining corrective action from suppliers.\nInteract with various departments (Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing) to resolve/improve component issues.\nMonitor components’ reject levels and use data/reports to respond to issues accordingly.\nProvide technical reports/failure analysis results concerning component failures upon request.\nSupport cost recovery of rejected components via return of defective product.\nImplement proactive measures that will foster productivity and higher product yields while reducing economic loss.\nRespond to production line part problems immediately and address regular test fallout.\nBe a leader in adherence to plant procedure for MSL, ESD, EHS, Security, etc.\nBe able to correspond via phone/email/video call with customer and suppliers effectively and with professionalism.\nPerform destructive root cause analysis as required on parts or assemblies.\nParticipate in product complaint analysis and corrective action processes.\nUse of measurement tools including digital multimeters, LCR meters, Oscilloscopes, CMM (coordinate measurement machine) Calipers, and imaging systems.\nPerform engineering studies/experiments using equipment not limited to: Force Gages, Pull-Tests, or other systems as required.\nSupport Quality Engineering department as an element of Standard Work, not limited to:\nInitiating purge of raw material and manufactured assemblies, conducting or supervising sorts/rework, and issuing/maintaining quality alerts.\nMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nHow will you get here?\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electronic Systems or other similar related discipline.\nAt least 2 years of hands-on experience working on Failure Analysis projects or other similar related experience OR some other combination of education and experience.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written.\nExperience reading Schematics and Test equipment and able to communicate the findings cross functionally.\nExperience with root cause analysis as well as working with Fishbone Diagrams.\nKnowledge and experience with 5Y.\nExperience working with internal and external customers, vendors and ability to work cross-functions.\nProblem solving experience and the ability to coordinate projects.\nStrong organization skills with the ability to prioritize the more important tasks.\nWhat Can Jabil Offer You?\nAlong with growth, stability, and the opportunity to be challenged, Jabil offers a competitive benefits package that includes:\nMedical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and Vision Insurance with HRA and HSA options\n401K Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan\nPaid Time Off\nTuition Reimbursement\nLife, AD&D, and Disability Insurance\nCommuter Benefits\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPet Insurance\nAdoption Assistance\nAnnual Merit Increases\nCommunity Volunteer Opportunities\nBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
