This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled global team and contribute to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies while driving operational excellence.\nWhat You Will Do\nAs an IC Lead Automation Engineer, you will lead the full lifecycle of Inventory Control automation projects while developing and deploying automated material flow solutions, including AMRs, AGVs, AGFs, and other smart intralogistics technologies that enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design, development, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of automation systems that enhance Inventory Control processes and optimize material handling and material flow across manufacturing and warehouse operations including AMRs, AGVs, AGFs, and other autonomous material movement technologies.\nDrive automation projects from concept through deployment, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.\nDevelop advanced automation solutions utilizing PLCs, robotics, SCADA systems, HMIs, motion control systems, and machine vision technologies, Autonomous Mobile Robots.\nCollaborate closely with Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to define requirements and implement effective solutions.\nIntegrate automation systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP SAP platforms, and other factory systems.\nConduct technical risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.\nLead troubleshooting activities, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.\nProvide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to automation engineering team members.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, system architecture, validation protocols, operating procedures, and training materials.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to support continuous innovation and operational excellence.\nWhat We Are Looking For\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum 7 years of experience in Automation Engineering, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering capacity.\nExperience within semiconductor, electronics, integrated circuit, or highly automated manufacturing environments.\nProven expertise with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent.\nExperience with SCADA, HMI, industrial robotics, machine vision, and process control systems.\nStrong programming skills in automation-related languages such as Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Python, C++, or similar.\nKnowledge of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, Profibus, and OPC.\nExperience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations and complex automated systems.\nStrong analytical, project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multicultural and cross-functional teams.\nAbility to travel occasionally across the region and other Jabil locations.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.\nPMP, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Automation-related certifications.\nExperience leading regional or global automation initiatives.\nWhy Join Jabil?\nAt Jabil, we recognize that our people are our greatest asset.
