This role leads technical activities related to PLC, HMI, motion control, industrial networking, and machine integration while ensuring compliance with safety and customer requirements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead electrical and control system design for automation equipment and manufacturing systems.\nDevelop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring standards.\nProgram and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motion control, servo, and robotic systems.\nIntegrate equipment with factory MES, SCADA, database, and Industry 4.0 platforms.\nReview customer requirements and translate them into control system designs.\nDefine electrical BOMs and select appropriate electrical components.\nConduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with machine safety standards.\nPerform system commissioning, FAT, SAT, and site startup activities.\nSupport equipment validation, qualification, and troubleshooting.\nMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during project execution.\nWork closely with mechanical, software, vision, and manufacturing engineering teams.\nSupport customer meetings and provide technical presentations when required.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.\n7+ years of experience in industrial automation or machine control system development.\nStrong experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, or Omron.\nExperience with HMI/SCADA development.\nKnowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.\nAbility to read and develop electrical schematics.\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\nExcellent project management and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with machine vision systems, including Cognex, Keyence, or similar platforms.\nKnowledge of robotics integration (FANUC, ABB, Epson, Universal Robots, etc.).\nExperience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.\nFamiliarity with UL, CE, NFPA79, and machine safety standards.\nExperience in AI-enabled automation and Digital Twin technologies.\nBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
