Inventory Control Supervisor, Receiving\nHow will you make an impact?\nThe Asst Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day supervision and execution of Receiving and Rackside Kitting operations, ensuring accurate and timely material flow to support production.\nThis role provides frontline leadership, enforces standard work, and maintains inventory accuracy while partnering with Operations, Quality, and Planning to prevent material-related disruptions. The Supervisor translates site and corporate inventory control expectations into daily execution, coaching teams to meet performance, safety, quality, and compliance standards.\nWhat will you do?\nLeadership & People Supervision\nSupervise Receiving team members to ensure daily priorities, staffing, and execution are met.\nVerify attendance daily and ensure compliance with company attendance and labor policies.\nLead start-of-shift and end-of-shift huddles to communicate:Safety updates and concerns\nStaffing gaps or attendance escalations\nInbound receipt status, shortages, and delays\nDaily production readiness and material flow priorities\n\nProvide real-time coaching, feedback, and corrective action to reinforce performance and accountability.\nSupport training and onboarding of new hires; ensure consistent execution of labeling, FIFO, and SAP processes.\nPartner with leadership and HR on performance issues, corrective actions, and staffing needs.\nPromote teamwork between Receiving and Rackside Kitting to reduce handoff errors and rework.\nOperational & Technical Responsibilities\nMaintain visibility and control of material flow from inbound receipt → putaway → rackside staging → production line delivery.\nEnsure Receiving execution aligns with Rackside Kitting and production demand.\nMonitor and enforce accuracy of SAP transactions for receipts, putaway, bin movements, and kit staging.\nIdentify and escalate material shortages, substitutions, or quality concerns in coordination with Inventory Control, Planning, Procurement, and Quality.\nExecute and sustain standardized work instructions and compliance with all VA/SOPs.\nAct as the first-level escalation point for material-related production risks.\nEnsure all material is received and delivered accurately and on time.\nMaintain tools, equipment, and visual controls necessary for safe and efficient operations.\nBe cross-trained and capable of performing Receiving and Rackside Kitting functions to support operations as needed.\nResponsible for identifying, resolving, and finding the root cause of discrepancies and other related inventory errors.\nRecommend changes that will eliminate or greatly reduce future inaccuracies from reoccurring.\nBe able to interface with all departmental supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management, and other pertinent functions within the plant operations. ·\nBe flexible enough to work overtime, assist in material handling functions, and fill in for other Inventory Control personnel as required and as specified by the Inventory Control Manager.\nAdhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.\nComply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.\nMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nPerformance & Continuous Improvement\nMonitor daily execution and address gaps in real time.\nIdentify process breakdowns and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport cost-reduction efforts by eliminating waste, rework, and non-value-added activities.\nCommunicate risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities to leadership\nHow will you get here?\nKnowledge & Skills\nWorking knowledge of inventory control, receiving, and kitting operations in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.\nExperience supervising frontline teams and driving daily execution.\nProficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and sense of urgency.\nAbility to communicate clearly with hourly associates, peers, and leadership.\nProven ability to problem-solve in fast-paced operational environments.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.\nAdvanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.\nAbility to write simple correspondence.
