This role works closely with BMC development teams to ensure firmware quality, functionality, and reliability through comprehensive validation planning, execution, and automation.\nAs a technical leader, this role defines validation scope, drives test architecture, and ensures alignment with sprint deliverables and product milestones. The engineer is expected to lead automation initiatives, improve validation efficiency, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams across regions (e.g., Taipei and Austin).\nKey Responsibilities\nWork with BMC developers to understand sprint content and schedules\nDesign test plans to validate OpenBMC sprints\nBMC test case creation\nHands on testing and debug of new firmware features\nAutomation of known-good test procedures\nAutomation code review and maintenance\nDocumentation of test procedures and automation usage instructions\nStatus reporting\nEnd of sprint summaries\nCL/CI activities\nJob Requirements\n10+ years of industry experience with BMC development/validation\nAutomation expertisePython or similar\nRobot Framework\nJenkins\nSelenium or similar\n\nWork with minimal supervision \nGood written and verbal communication skills (English)\nGood problem-solving skills\nBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
