This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on improving test efficiency, consistency, and engineering productivity through automation frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies.\nThe engineer will work closely with PV engineers and subject matter experts to understand test objectives, identify automation opportunities, and guide the implementation of scalable and maintainable automation solutions. The role will also help drive AI transformation within PV by identifying and applying AI-assisted technologies to engineering and automation workflows.\nThe role provides technical guidance to team members, supports technical problem solving and solution design, and evaluates new automation and AI technologies to continuously improve PV engineering capabilities.\nThe ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently while providing technical direction and support to the Automation team.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation solutions for PV test cases and validation workflows.\nDevelop scripts, test suites, automation frameworks, and tools to improve validation efficiency and engineering productivity.\nWork closely with PV engineers and subject matter experts to understand test objectives and recommend appropriate automation approaches.\nProvide technical guidance and support to Automation engineers, including solution design, technical reviews, and problem solving.\nIdentify opportunities to improve automation architecture, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.\nDrive the adoption of AI-assisted technologies within PV automation and engineering workflows to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.\nEvaluate and adopt emerging automation and AI technologies to continuously enhance PV engineering capabilities.\nSupport troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing automation solutions.\nMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS\nBS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.\n5+ years of relevant engineering or automation development experience.\nStrong programming and scripting experience, particularly with Python.\nExperience with automation frameworks, test automation, and software development practices.\nFamiliarity with tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Git, Linux, and Robot Framework is preferred.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and their application to automation or software development is preferred.\nStrong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimum supervision and proactively identify and resolve technical issues.\nAbility to provide technical guidance and collaborate effectively with engineers and subject matter experts.\nGood communication skills in both Chinese and English.\nFlexible and adaptable to changing requirements, technologies, and engineering environments.\nBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
