The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and NPI teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes, resolve production issues, and support successful product launches. This is a hands-on, production-floor position requiring strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support customer production priorities and schedules.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport PCBA, SMT, Box Build, and electronics manufacturing processes.\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype and initial builds through production ramp and mass production.\nPerform DFA/DFM reviews and identify potential manufacturing, assembly, and process issues.\nTroubleshoot manufacturing and production issues using structured root-cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.\nSupport and optimize SMT processes and equipment, including:Pick-and-Place\nSolder Paste Inspection (SPI)\nAutomated Optical Inspection (AOI)\nReflow\nX-Ray\nSelective Solder\n\nDevelop, maintain, and improve manufacturing documentation, including:Work Instructions\nProcess Flows\nPFMEA\nControl Plans\nFirst Article documentation\nSpecial Instructions (SI)\n\nMonitor and improve key manufacturing metrics, including First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, defects, downtime, productivity, and process efficiency.\nWork directly with Production and Quality teams to identify and resolve manufacturing problems.\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, yield, productivity, efficiency, and cost.\nSupport engineering changes and ensure manufacturing processes and documentation are updated accordingly.\nProvide hands-on technical support and guidance to operators and technicians on the production floor.\nSupport production builds, customer commitments, and priority projects as required.\nDocument lessons learned and implemented process improvements to prevent recurring issues.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing readiness for new and existing products.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.\n5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred.\nExperience in PCBA, SMT, Box Build, or electronics manufacturing.\nExperience supporting NPI and production builds.\nWorking knowledge of DFA/DFM principles.\nStrong root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation and processes.\nExperience working directly with Production and Quality teams.\nStrong communication, teamwork, organizational, and project management skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nComfortable working hands-on and troubleshooting issues directly on the production floor.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and support customer production schedules.\nPreferred Equipment & Technical Experience\nExperience with one or more of the following is preferred:\nSMT Pick-and-Place Equipment\nSPI\nAOI\nReflow Ovens\nX-Ray Inspection\nSelective Solder\nSMT Programming\nSoldering and Rework Processes\nTest and Inspection Equipment\nPCBA Manufacturing Processes\nSoftware & Engineering Tools\nExperience with manufacturing and engineering systems/tools such as:\nCAD\nERP/MRP systems\nMES\nMicrosoft Excel\nStatistical and Data Analysis Tools\nSMT Programming Software\nManufacturing and Quality Management Systems\nWork Environment\nOnsite position at the manufacturing facility.\nRegular interaction with operators, technicians, engineers, Quality, Production, and manufacturing leadership.\nMust be comfortable working directly on the production floor to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.\nAbility to support occasional overtime, weekend builds, or off-shift production support when required.\nMust be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing customer and production priorities.\nThe pay range for this role is $81,900 - $147,400.
