Material Clerk II
Job Summary**
The Material Clerk II at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for performing a variety of material handling and inventory control tasks to ensure the accurate and efficient flow of materials within the facility, supporting manufacturing operations and meeting production schedules.
Job Responsibilities**
* Receive, unload, unpack, and inspect incoming materials for quantity, quality, and damage, comparing against purchase orders and packing lists.
* Accurately input material receiving data into the inventory management system.
* Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper identification, rotation, and accessibility.
* Pick, pack, and issue materials to production lines based on manufacturing orders and requests.
* Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
* Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages of materials to appropriate personnel.
* Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
* Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and material storage areas.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
* May assist with basic data entry and record-keeping related to material movements.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) with valid certification, if required.
* Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or similar WMS.
* Ability to read, write, and understand English.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
