Our commitment extends beyond business success as we strive to build sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and foster vibrant and diverse communities around the globe.Job Purpose\nTo support installation, assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and day-to-day operation of automation machines across all shifts.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform mechanical assembly and installation of automation machines, fixtures, conveyors, pneumatic systems and machine structures.\nRead and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs.\nPerform machine alignment, leveling, fitting, drilling, tapping, cutting and modification activities as required.\nSupport installation and commissioning of new automation equipment.\nTroubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and resolve issues with minimum machine downtime.\nWork on pneumatic cylinders, valves, FRLs, tubing, fittings, sensors and related mechanical systems.\nPerform preventive maintenance and routine inspection of automation equipment.\nCoordinate with electrical, controls, manufacturing and maintenance teams during machine troubleshooting.\nMaintain proper housekeeping and ensure adherence to safety requirements.\nRecord breakdowns, maintenance activities and machine-related issues.\nSupport customer trials, FAT/SAT, MVT and production ramp-up activities as required.\nRequired Skills\nGood knowledge of mechanical fitting and assembly.\nAbility to read mechanical drawings and understand GD&T basics.\nHands-on experience with pneumatic systems.\nKnowledge of industrial automation machines and fixtures.\nBasic knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.\nAbility to use hand tools and power tools safely.\nGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nQualification & Experience\nITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Fitter or equivalent.\n2-5 years of relevant industrial/automation experience preferred.\nExperience in automation machine assembly, maintenance or production support will be an advantage.\nBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
