Job Summary

As an On-Site Technical Representative (OSTR), you will serve as the primary, front-line technical interface embedded directly within a critical customer manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for maximizing tool up time, supporting rapid troubleshooting on advanced high-tech production equipment. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on electro-mechanical expertise with rapid problem-solving skills to mitigate manufacturing floor disruptions and resolve equipment anomalies in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Semiconductor Customer Capital Equipment Troubleshooting and Rework: Perform complex troubleshooting and rework on customers Semiconductor Capital Equipment production systems (including electrical, high-vacuum, fluidics, mechanical, pneumatic, and digital control subsystems).
• Interpret intricate electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), Operation Method Sheets [OMS] and mechanical drawings to resolve system issues safely and efficiently where applicable.

On-Site Customer & Escalation Management

• Act as the dedicated local technical contact, communicating tool status, action plans, and resolution timelines directly to customer operations and engineering management.
• Participate in customer field issue meetings, aligning company service delivery with customer production goals.

Equipment Lifecycle Support

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), and tool installations/upgrades to ensure hardware meets specifications.
• Document technical findings, create BKMs, LLS to aid with troubleshooting, part replacement & upgrades, and contribute to the creation of field troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Experience & Education:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering) OR an associate’s degree / military technical background with equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in a high-tech manufacturing, cleanroom, or automated industrial environment, working directly with high-complexity capital equipment.

Core Technical Competencies:

• Strong foundational knowledge of power systems, vacuum/fluidic systems, and digital/analog electronics.
• Proficiency using diagnostic software, and standard enterprise asset management systems (e.g., SAP, internal tracking applications).
• Proficient using MS office suite applications
• Clear & concise with communication skills
• Proficient written communication skills

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to work in a demanding manufacturing or cleanroom environment wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
• Willingness to support a compressed work week or rotating shift schedule (including nights, weekends, or on-call blocks) to ensure continuous facility coverage.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. and working safely around high-voltage and complex mechanical assemblies. This position is not eligible for immigration and/or visa sponsorship.
