QE Technician II
Job Summary**
The QE Technician II supports the Quality Engineering team by performing various tasks related to product quality, testing, and process control. This role involves assisting with quality investigations, data collection, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Perform dimensional and functional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using various measurement tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
* Conduct routine testing and analysis of products and processes according to established procedures and specifications.
* Document inspection and test results accurately and completely, maintaining detailed records.
* Assist Quality Engineers in the investigation of quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
* Collect and compile quality data for analysis, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control plans and procedures.
* Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Calibrate and maintain inspection and test equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper functioning.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related problems.
* Assist in the training of production personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
Job Qualifications**
* Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Engineering Technology) or equivalent experience.
* 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or quality assurance role.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Demonstrated experience with various measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators).
* Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools (e.g., Pareto charts, histograms).
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
