The Quality Engineer ensures that performance and product quality conform to established company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly and process. Investigates problems and recommends disposition, modification, and corrective action for recurring or non-recurring discrepancies.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nDevelop and maintain QA plans and timeliness of new product introductions.\nDevelops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control plans and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.\nProvide support for all quoting activities by participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.\nEvaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.\nSupport training programs specific to their customer by development and implementation of specialized training sessions for all applicable functions.\nConduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files; develop appropriate systems for document storage and access.\nReview all supplier, internal or customer discrepancies. Coordinate and track the corrective/preventative action effort.\nSupports and may champion change controls in relation to customer, supplier, and internally driven changes.\nParticipate in the vendor survey activities as applicable. Drive proactive participation with suppliers and (when possible) aid in their process improvement efforts.\nInterface with all departments as applied to the Policies and Procedures.\nProvide insight and assistance of implementing and maintaining Process Improvement and Optimization concentrating on proactive methodologies.\nAssist in driving the standardization of manufacturing processes of global customer accounts as applicable.\nInterface and provide technical support on quality issues with the customer as needed.\nAdhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.\nComply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.\nAnalyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.\nSupport the audits of quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.\nConfirms that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is complete and compliant with requirements.\nDevelops methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.\nWrites, reviews, approves process validations/qualifications, facilitates resolution of validation deviations in accordance with Jabil and customer requirements.\nEvaluates, makes recommendations, and implements changes to the validation and qualification program as part of continual improvement or remediation activities.\nLeads investigation team, and documents response in ensuring timely resolution of customer complaints.\nConstantly seeks to improve work processes; Has a quality-first mentality; Learns from internal and external best practices to apply to her/his work.\nSupport all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.\nRole model and promote the organizations Values and Behaviors.\nOther responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position. KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills - both verbal and written. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Good English knowledge both verbal and written.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor’s Degree in Industrial engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred.\n5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nRegular business hours.
