Quality Jr. Engineer I
Job Summary**
The Quality Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. supports the quality assurance function by assisting with the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, processes, and procedures. This role contributes to ensuring product quality and compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
Job Responsibilities**
* Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control plans and procedures.
* Assist in conducting inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
* Collect and analyze quality data, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement.
* Support the investigation of non-conformances, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
* Assist in preparing quality reports and documentation.
* Participate in internal and external audits as required.
* Learn and apply Jabil's quality management system (QMS) principles and practices.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field) or a relevant technical discipline.
* 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.
* Basic understanding of quality management principles and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing is a plus).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards is a plus.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
