The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up. Skills to include panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High-Power Electronic assemblies.\nHow will you make an impact?\nYou will help build a culture of quality by performing inspections, identifying and containing issues before they reach the customer, and supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of quality controls. Through inspection, data analysis, problem-solving, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, you will play a key role in supporting the successful launch and growth of a world-class manufacturing operation.\nWhat will you do?\nPerform in-process and final inspections of assemblies, components, and materials as required to support production and quality objectives. \nConduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring and test equipment. \nVerify products meet engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. \nIdentify, document, and report nonconforming materials, processes, and products. \nSupport containment activities, nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. \nCollect and analyze quality data to support trend analysis, Pareto analysis, and continuous improvement activities. \nMaintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, and test data. \nPartner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement. \nAssist in developing and improving inspection procedures, quality plans, work instructions, and quality controls. \nSupport internal audits, process audits, and quality system activities as required. \nSupport Gauge R&R studies, measurement system evaluations, process validations, and quality improvement initiatives. \nSupport factory startup activities, including process validation, training, and operational readiness. \nAssist Quality Supervisors with training, qualification, onboarding, and day-to-day support of Quality Inspectors and quality personnel. \nEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, customer, and regulatory requirements. \nHow will you get here?\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED required. \nAssociate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. \nExperience\n4+ years of experience in a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, Quality Control, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment. \nExperience performing inspections in an industrial, electrical, electronics, or manufacturing setting. \nExperience supporting quality investigations, corrective actions, quality improvement activities, or manufacturing quality processes preferred. \nExperience supporting process validation, NPI, or startup manufacturing activities preferred. \nExperience supporting large assemblies, industrial equipment, power systems, heavy manufacturing, or other complex manufacturing environments preferred. \nExperience in a startup manufacturing environment is a plus. \nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities\nAbility to read and interpret advanced engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications required. \nProficiency using inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, height gauges, and related inspection equipment. \nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and nonconformances. \nExperience supporting containment activities, nonconformance investigations, and corrective actions preferred. \nAbility to collect and analyze quality data to support continuous improvement activities preferred. \nStrong communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \nBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. \nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. \nAbility to support training and qualification activities for Quality Inspectors and quality personnel. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting electrical assemblies, panel assembly, wiring, electro-mechanical assemblies, or similar manufacturing environments. \nKnowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems. \nFamiliarity with root cause analysis, corrective action methodologies, and continuous improvement tools. \nExperience working with large fabricated, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or other large form-factor assemblies. \nWhat Can Jabil Offer You?\nAlong with growth, stability, and the opportunity to be challenged, Jabil offers a competitive benefits package that includes:\nMedical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and Vision Insurance with HRA and HSA options \n401K Match \nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan \nPaid Time Off \nTuition Reimbursement \nLife, AD&D, and Disability Insurance \nCommuter Benefits \nEmployee Assistance Program \nPet Insurance \nAdoption Assistance \nAnnual Merit Increases \nCommunity Volunteer Opportunities \nThe hourly pay range for this role is $23.89 - $43.03.
