This individual will be able to provide DFM (Design for manufacturing) and NPI (New Product Introduction) support. They will have the ability to handle customers and site by providing expert advice. In addition, this individual must be able to lead technical issues and resolve them with technical, design and statistical analysis.\nThis role will be remote and require up to 75% travel domestically.\nDesired locations include Memphis TN, Prince George VA, and Salisbury NC.\nHow will you make an impact?\nThe Manufacturing Engineering Lead is responsible for the implementation, support, training, and troubleshooting for the process being assigned in their facility. This position is assigned to an individual who has extensive experience with manufacturing processes, and is already considered to be a “Specialist” . This individual is responsible for ensuring excellence on the assigned manufacturing process, as determined by the Engineering Director and the Operations Director. They will provide expert advice when there is urgent needs due to high defect rates and ensure that the process is well in control and delivering the highest possible yields.\nWhat will you do? \nServe as the functional expert for manufacturing area assigned. \nSupport other Engineers in questions may arise and help resolve them.. \nCoordinate and facilitate training for the plant in terms of new hires, new functionality, and upgrades. \nCoordinate and facilitate new line installations, new manufacturing process implenentation and end-to-end accountability for manufacturing enablement\nTrack and communicate all changes/enhancements to existing process, including upgrades to process. \nProvide support to the users and the department SME’s. \nEnsuring the established process is followed diligently \nWork with EOS Domain Experts ME’s to implement Jabil best practices in the site. \nCarry out methodical machine and process evaluations. \nMaintain and develop documentation for responsible area. \nParticipate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department. \nSupport Site when there is audits and customer visits \nProvide regular updates to appropriate managers. \nIdentify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes (i.e. elimination of non-value added factors. \nDrive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.\nOffer new ideas and suggestions for improvement.
