As Senior Technical Business Unit Manager, you will serve as the key link between our customers technical teams and internal Engineering teams, driving both technical excellence and business growth. In this strategic role, you'll lead complex injection mold manufacturing programs, support new business opportunities, and help shape customer technology roadmaps while ensuring successful execution from concept through production.
What You'll Do
- Build trusted relationships with customer engineering, product development, sourcing, and leadership teams.
- Lead technical discussions, DFM reviews, mold concepts, and design reviews for complex injection molding programs.
- Partner with internal engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to deliver world-class solutions.
- Support RFQs, quotations, lead technical proposals, and new business opportunities.
- Manage upfront technical, quality, and commercial risks across multiple customer programs.
- Support troubleshooting mold design/build, sampling, and production challenges to ensure successful launches.
- Drive customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitable growth.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in injection mold design, mold manufacturing, engineering, product development, or related fields.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
- Deep expertise in plastic injection mold design, DFM, moldability, GD&T, molding processes, and mold manufacturing.
- Strong customer-facing leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Commercial acumen with experience supporting quotes, budgets, and business growth initiatives.
- Proficiency with Creo (Pro-E), SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
