make an impact?\nThe Sr. Principal Design Engineer - Systems Integration, Data Center & Infrastructure Systems will hold the title of Systems Integration Manager (SIM) even though this is not a managerial role.\nThe Systems Integration Manager (SIM) is the single threaded owner of engineering delivery and system integration for complex industrial and data center infrastructure systems, including chillers, CDUs, switchgear, PDCs, control panels, fluid networks, containment systems, modular data centers and factory enablement activities.\n\nThe SIM maintains a tight operational partnership with the Technical Program Manager (TPM) team managing a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment between engineering execution, program priorities and cross project dependencies to drive disciplined, predictable delivery.\n\nThis role ensures thermal, electrical, fluid, and control systems are integrated into a fully functional, reliable system and that engineering teams execute with alignment, clarity and accountability.\n\nAdditionally, the SIM establishes visibility into scope maturity, engineering execution, and organizational risks, ensuring data driven decisions and is NOT a Technical Program Manager (TPM) role.\n\nThe SIM owns systems performance and integration, drives engineering decisions across disciplines, ensures systems operate under real world conditions and enforces execution discipline and accountability across engineering teams.\n\nWhat This Role Is Not\nNot a TPM or tracking role.\n\nNot limited to reporting or coordination.\n\nNot removed from technical decision making.\n\nOpportunity Intake & Validation\nOwn intake and prioritization of new initiatives, serving as the primary entry point for all incoming opportunities into the organization.\n\nAssess and validate each opportunity for technical feasibility, scope clarity, resource requirements and alignment to organizational priorities before commitment.\n\nIdentify risks, dependencies, and gaps early, ensuring that incomplete or ambiguous work is resolved prior to formal program launch.\n\nPartner closely with cross functional teams to shape programs before execution, refining scope, defining success criteria and establishing clear ownership and expectations.\n\nDrive structured decision making for go / no go recommendations, providing clear, data driven insights and tradeoffs to leadership.\n\nEnsure only well defined, executable work enters the engineering pipeline, improving predictability, reducing rework and protecting team capacity.\n\nWhat will you do ?\nDrive closure of critical actions, resolve ownership gaps, escalate risks appropriately, and enforce accountability across engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nEnd to end engineering execution across thermal, electrical, fluid and control systems from design through deployment\n\nOwn system requirements, architecture decomposition, interface management, verification, validation, and requirements flow-down across all subsystems.\n\nEnsure system performance, reliability, and integration readiness under real world operating conditions.\n\nDrive cross-functional alignment across Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Thermal, Manufacturing, and Program teams.\n\nLead system level design reviews, including P&IDs, one-lines, controls architectures, and subsystem interfaces.\n\nDefine and drive integration, commissioning, FAT, SAT and deployment readiness strategies.\n\nEnsure build readiness for skids, modular data centers (MDCs), and field installations.\n\nLead system-level failure analysis, corrective actions, engineering change management, and risk mitigation activities.\n\nEstablish visibility into scope maturity, engineering performance, execution risks, and critical dependencies.\n\nDrive program execution cadence, including planning and design reviews.\n\nStandardize execution frameworks, operating rhythms and lessons learned processes to improve organizational scalability and predictability.\n\nHow will you get here?\nStrong systems engineering capability, including requirements management, interface control, verification, validation, and systems integration.\n\nAbility to operate at both system-level engineering depth and organizational execution leadership.\n\nWorking knowledge of thermal systems, electrical distribution, controls, and fluid system integration.\n\nExperience leading full lifecycle delivery from architecture and design through commissioning and field deployment.\n\nAbility to influence and drive accountability across technical and cross-functional teams without direct authority.\n\nStrong judgment in prioritization, risk management, escalation, and decision-making under ambiguity.\n\nAbility to translate complex technical and business tradeoffs into clear executive-level communication.\n\nProven ability to establish scalable execution frameworks, operating rhythms, and organizational discipline.\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering.\n\nExperience:\n8 -15+ years delivering complex engineered systems.\n\nExperience in thermal, electrical, fluid, or controls systems integration.\n\nStrong system level engineering capability.\n\nProven cross functional leadership.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering organizations or systems engineering teams.\n\nExperience with data center or critical infrastructure systems.\n\nNPI or program recovery experience.\n\nExperience with modular systems (MDCs, this role is $164,200 - $295,600.
