The role provides strategic direction, operational leadership, and talent development while ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and corporate standards. The Workcell Section Manager drives continuous improvement, operational performance, and cross-functional collaboration to support sustainable growth and profitability.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperational Leadership\nLead and manage workcell operations to achieve established goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.\nDevelop and execute operational strategies that support customer requirements and business objectives.\nEnsure capacity, resource planning, and production schedules are optimized to meet customer demand.\nDrive execution of manufacturing plans while maintaining flexibility to support changing business requirements.\nMonitor and review operational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as required.\nQuality and Compliance\nEnsure compliance with all applicable quality standards, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.\nDrive a culture of quality ownership and accountability across all levels of the organization.\nLead corrective and preventive action initiatives to address operational and customer issues.\nEnsure adherence to ISO, regulatory, environmental, EHS, and customer-specific requirements.\nSupport customer audits, regulatory inspections, and internal assessments.\nFinancial Management\nDevelop and manage operating budgets for assigned workcells or production areas.\nDrive cost reduction initiatives, productivity improvements, automation projects, and waste elimination programs.\nMonitor financial performance including labor efficiency, manufacturing cost, inventory, scrap, and operational spending.\nEnsure effective utilization of people, equipment, and resources to maximize profitability.\nPeople Leadership and Talent Development\nProvide leadership, coaching, and development to Assistant Workcell Managers, Supervisors, and support teams.\nBuild high-performing teams through succession planning, capability development, and performance management processes.\nFoster an inclusive and engaging work environment that promotes accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nLead workforce planning activities including recruitment, retention, and organizational development.\nCustomer and Stakeholder Management\nServe as the primary operational interface for assigned customers and internal stakeholders.\nLead customer business reviews, operational reviews, and escalation management activities.\nBuild strong partnerships with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and other support functions.\nDrive customer satisfaction through achievement of service, quality, and delivery commitments.\nContinuous Improvement\nChampion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Automation, Industry 4.0, and Digital Factory initiatives.\nIdentify and implement process improvements that drive operational excellence and competitive advantage.\nLead site-level improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, cycle time reduction, inventory management, and cost savings.\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.\nSafety and Environmental Leadership\nEnsure compliance with all EHS policies, procedures, and legal requirements.\nPromote a proactive safety culture through leadership engagement and risk management activities.\nLead corrective actions arising from safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nParticipate in strategic planning, business growth initiatives, and operational transformation programs.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI), business transitions, and site expansion activities.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS\nStrong knowledge of electronic manufacturing operations, supply chain, quality systems, and production management.\nStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies.\nProven ability to manage P&L drivers, operating budgets, and cost reduction programs.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\nExcellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.\nStrong customer relationship and stakeholder management capabilities.\nExperience managing complex operational challenges in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nProficiency in ERP/MES systems, business intelligence tools, and Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong communication, presentation, and influence skills.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related field.\nMinimum 8-10 years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.\nMinimum 3-5 years of leadership experience managing multiple production lines, departments, or workcells.\nDemonstrated success in operational leadership, customer management, and business performance improvement.\nExperience in medical device, healthcare, industrial, telecommunications, or electronics manufacturing preferred.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage.\nEquivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.\nKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
