We can't do it without you.\nThe Data Engineer works within the Data & Analytics organization as part of the Warehousing & Pipelines team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, modernizing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions that power operational processes, analytics, reporting, machine learning, and enterprise data initiatives.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with deep data platform expertise and is passionate about building reliable, scalable, and maintainable data systems using modern engineering practices.\nThis position offers opportunity for advancement for a well-qualified, driven candidate.\nThis is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO, Louisville, KY; Troy, MI, Birmingham, AL.\nThis position is ineligible for immigration sponsorship and support. Please do not apply if at any time you will need immigration support now or in the future (i.e., H-1B, PERM).\nAll positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.\nWhat you'll be responsible for:\nWorks within the Data & Analytics team in the Warehousing & Pipelines function, collaborating closely with DBAs, Data Architects, BI Developers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders.\nDesigns, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains batch and streaming data pipelines supporting payment processing systems with strict availability and performance requirements.\nDevelops data integration solutions using SQL, C#, Python, PowerShell, and related automation technologies.\nDevelops and supports event-driven architectures using Change Data Capture (CDC), Kafka, messaging platforms, and stream-processing technologies.\nDevelops, maintains, and modernizes legacy data integration solutions, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), transitioning workloads toward code-first, version-controlled development practices.\nCreates and maintains CI/CD pipelines for data integration, analytics, and data platform solutions.\nImplements monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities for data platforms and pipelines.\nWorks with Data Architects and enterprise data governance teams to populate and maintain enterprise data warehouse, lakehouse, and analytical data platform solutions.\nTunes SQL queries and database interactions to reduce impact on source systems and improve application performance.\nOptimizes data pipelines to improve throughput, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency.\nProduces and maintains technical documentation, architectural diagrams, operational runbooks, and deployment procedures.\nLeverages AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and code quality while independently validating, reviewing, and testing all generated code.\nParticipates in on-call rotations and provides after-hours support as required.\nMay perform other job duties as assigned.\nWhat you'll need to have:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, database development.\nExperience developing solutions on relational database platforms such as SQL Server and/or MySQL.\nExperience developing applications or services using C# or similar object-oriented programming languages.\nExperience developing and supporting ETL/ELT and data integration solutions.\nExperience working with source control systems such as Git and participating in code reviews and pull request workflows.\nExperience working with containerization technologies such as Docker.\nWhat would be nice for you to have:\nExperience modernizing legacy analytics platforms, OLAP solutions, or analytical workloads.\nExperience with cloud services and data platforms in GCP, AWS, and/or Azure.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, Ansible, or similar technologies.\nExperience building and supporting Kubernetes-based applications and services.\nExperience developing data lakes, lakehouses, and open table format solutions using technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi, Parquet, or similar platforms.\nExperience operating under PCI DSS, SOC, financial services, healthcare, or similar regulatory frameworks.\nIf you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity.
