Jackhenry.dev currently serves thousands of developers and is one of the most important touchpoints between Jack Henry and the fintech partners, vendors, and developers that build integrations with Jack Henry products. You will have real influence on the strategy, tools, and culture we are building together.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong full-stack development expertise with a passion for developer experience, modern web architecture, API ecosystems, and technical enablement. Our Developer Relations team is small and fast-moving, and we're looking for someone who's excited about this kind of developer portal ownership.\nThis position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship and support. All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity. \nWhat you’ll be responsible for:\nServe as the Senior Engineer for jackhenry.dev, responsible for the platform's architecture, performance, reliability, and long-term strategic direction. \nDesign and evolve a scalable developer portal that delivers a best-in-class experience for external developers consuming Jack Henry APIs and platforms. \nLead the implementation of new portal capabilities, developer tools, workflows, and integrations that improve developer adoption and engagement. \nDrive continuous improvements to developer onboarding, API discoverability, self-service functionality, documentation experiences, and technical resources. \nMonitor platform health and usage metrics, leveraging developer feedback and analytics to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement. \nEnsure the platform meets enterprise requirements for security, authentication, authorization, compliance, and data protection.\nMay perform other job duties as assigned.\nWhat you’ll need to have:\nA minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering\nA minimum of 3 years in full-stack software development\nMust be proficient with JavaScript/Typescript\nHands-on use of AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day workflows\nWhat would be nice for you to have:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science. \nDemonstrated ability to organize and structure complex technical content (information architecture/content modeling)\nExperience building or supporting developer-facing products, developer experience platforms, developer portals, API platforms, technical documentation systems, or developer education platforms.\nExperience improving developer documentation for usability, clarity, and navigation\nExperience developing technical documentation for engineers or developers. \nIf you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity.
