The role will focus on creating secure and scalable processes to connect operational systems, unstructured project documentation and data from third-party platforms into existing data warehousing infrastructure.\nThe successful candidate will help transform fragmented agency knowledge into governed, searchable, AI-ready assets while ensuring adherence to privacy, retention, and client-specific data requirements.\nKey responsibilities\nCreate a structured data layer to integrate and model structured data from API enabled sources such as CRM systems, Azure databases, event attendance systems, survey platforms, and financial warehouses.\nCreate ingestion pipelines for the unstructured knowledge layer that includes Powerpoint presentations, Word documents and unstructured Excel spreadsheets.\nBuild an AI-Ready document infrastructure that can classify documents, handle versioning, track provenance, and manage metadata, auditability and permissioning.\nImplement frameworks for strictest confidentiality and privacy protections, including access controls and security roles, consent tracking, data retention and data deletion management.\nWork with members of the Jack Morton team to clearly communicate limitations, timeline expectations, out-of-pocket cost expectations and repercussions to platform design.\nParticipate in planning discussions on platform roadmap with Jack Morton team members.\nData engineering requirements\nPipeline design, ingestion, schema, data quality, orchestration, tooling.\nThis role requires strong experience in the following:\nPython\nSQL\nData Modeling\nData Warehousing (Snowflake experience is desirable)\nETL or ELT development\nAPI Integrations\nBatch and event-driven pipelines.\nThe applicant should understand:\nMetadata extraction\nOCR workflows\nSemantic indexing\nVector databases\nRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)\nChunking strategies\nDocument classification\nEmbedding pipelines\nSecurity requirements\nAccess control, tenant isolation, key management, pseudonymisation, audit and logging, compliance frameworks.\nExperience with the following is essential, with AI-specific experience being a bonus:\nPII handling and understanding of GDPR implications\nData pseudonymization\nData lineage\nRetention policies\nAudit logging\nData access controls\nPlatform and tooling\nSnowflake, AWS, Bedrock, integration patterns, languages, infrastructure as code.\nSnowflake\nAWS Cognito\nAWS S3\nAWS Lamda\nAWS DynamoDB\nExperience required\nAzure or Snowflake data warehousing\nDocument ingestion and RAG experience\nData governance and security\nModern data modeling skills\nAPI integration\nData pipelines for unstructured documentation\nExperience explaining technical infrastructure to non-technical teams\nExperience preferred\nLLM model building\nUnderstanding of event and experiential marketing\nExperience working with a project-based business\nFirst 90 days\nWhat success looks like by day 30, 60 and 90.\nWithin the first 90 days the data engineer should be integrated into the platform team.
